Mocking Berlusconi in Lampedusa

I snapped this last week in Lampedusa, an island in the Med about 40 minutes flight time from Sicily. This is the island which has been the scene of many desperate boat landings from Africa. Policy changed this year and an aggressive push-back ( to Africa) policy has been set in place together with some agreements with Libya....In that context, this piece must be seen as critical of Berlusconi and his government.Comments [0]
Anti-fascist stencil in Rome
On saturday I went to a massive march in Rome demonstrating against
racism and racist laws in Italy. Here is a snap I took in Trastevere
of a very effective stencil. Trastevere is a charming area of Rome. It
is also covered with stickers, paste-ups, graffiti and street art!

I was filming at this squat earlier this year. It is gigantic in terms of size and you could use up a lot of space on your camera's card snapping the various bits of graffiti and street art. Incredible place.
